For routine cleaning of glass furniture, a wet towel, newspaper, or even toilet paper can be used to wipe away general stains. For tougher stains, you can dampen a towel with white wine, beer, or warm white vinegar to remove them. However, it is essential to avoid using cleaning agents with strong acids or alkalis as they can corrode glass due to its silica composition. Patterned ground glass can be effectively cleaned by using a toothbrush dipped in a cleaning agent and gently wiping it along the pattern in circular motions. Additionally, you can enhance the cleanliness and brightness of the wiped glass by applying a few drops of kerosene or a mixture of chalk dust and gypsum powder.
